Just read We Chase Shadows
Murder mystery comedies are my bag, especially when they're so well-written.
Finished this one today. It was amazing. I love how humanely Osman writes his characters, especially in a world filled with violence and death. His mysteries sit with Agatha Christie’s or Rian Johnson’s - mostly done in plain sight, with some of the missing pieces in the prestige at the end. This novel, more than his others, is cleverly laid out in front of you with a misdirection and the hidden information really just clears up some confusion. Rosie, Steve, Amy and Tony Taylor return, with Jackie and even Carlos coming back.
I’m honestly torn between hoping that Osman kicks off yet another series of stories with flawed, brilliant, lovable people, or goes even deeper with the ones he’s gifted us already.
